Armed Security Guard

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas using surveillance tools such as CCTV systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
• Conduct regular inspections of premises to identify potential hazards or security vulnerabilities.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, including medical incidents requiring first aid or CPR.
• Enforce company policies and legal regulations related to security protocols and loss prevention.
• Manage conflicts calmly and professionally, de-escalating situations when necessary.
• Maintain detailed incident reports and logs of daily activities, observations, and any security-related incidents.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies as required.
• Ensure all security equipment is operational and report any malfunctions for maintenance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in law enforcement, military service, or private security roles is preferred.
• Valid certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
• Strong surveillance skills with familiarity in CCTV operation and monitoring systems.
• Excellent conflict management abilities with a calm demeanor under pressure.
• Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security best practices.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and discretion.
• Physical fitness to perform patrol duties and respond swiftly when needed.
• Must possess a valid security license or be eligible for licensing as per local regulations. This position plays a critical role in safeguarding our facilities, staff, and visitors while maintaining a secure environment through vigilant observation and prompt action.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
