Job Summary

CITIZEN'S GUARD SECURITY is seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Officer to safeguard our premises, ensure safety protocols are followed, and maintain a secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets. As a vital member of our security team, you will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, conducting patrols, managing access control, and responding swiftly to emergencies. Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including buildings, parking areas, and perimeter fences, to identify potential security breaches or hazards.
• Control access points by verifying credentials, performing background checks on visitors or contractors, and managing entry logs.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations using established procedures, including fire alarms, medical incidents, or security threats.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities for future reference and investigations.
• Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents while adhering strictly to compliance regulations and security protocols.

Qualifications

• Currently have or able to obtain a valid/current Security Officer's license issued by the St Louis County Police Private Security Section.
• Proven experience in security services or related fields such as military service or law enforcement is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of security services to include report writing, observing and reporting security problems to the employer and client.
• Armed Security Officers should have experience with firearm handling (where applicable), and conflict de-escalation techniques are preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks involving being outdoors, walking, and standing for a period of time.
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional appearance and demeanor when interacting with visitors or staff.
• Able to travel to and from the security site, be on time, work entire shifts and remain on site until properly relieved.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.02 per hour
