The Role
The Analyst will work directly with senior bankers on live sell-side M&A transactions across a range of healthcare sub-sectors. The role involves meaningful exposure to all stages of the deal process from pitch and preparation through to marketing, diligence, and close. This role demands an individual who is analytical, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of sell-side M&A transactions across healthcare sub-sectors including healthcare services, life sciences, medical devices, pharma services, and health technology.
- Build, maintain, and stress-test detailed financial models including DCF, LBO, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis.
- Prepare high-quality marketing materials including Confidential Information Memoranda (CIMs), management presentations, teasers, and buyer outreach materials.
- Conduct in-depth industry, company, and competitive research to support deal preparation and client communications.
- Assist in managing deal processes including buyer outreach, data room coordination, management meeting scheduling, and bid tracking.
- Collaborate with senior bankers on new business development, including the preparation of pitchbooks and sector coverage materials.
- Maintain and develop an understanding of healthcare sector dynamics, M&A trends, and the broader regulatory and reimbursement landscape.
Candidate Profile
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field, with a strong academic record.
- 2–4 years of investment banking experience, ideally within a healthcare-focused or generalist M&A team at a bank, boutique, or advisory firm.
- Strong financial modelling skills with hands-on experience building LBO, DCF, and comparable company analyses from scratch.
- Demonstrated experience supporting sell-side M&A processes, including CIM preparation, buyer outreach, and diligence management.
- Solid understanding of healthcare sector dynamics; familiarity with sub-sectors such as healthcare services, physician practice management, behavioral health, med-tech, or life sciences is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to produce polished, client-ready materials under time pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complex information into clear and compelling narratives.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a demanding deal environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with Capital IQ and/or PitchBook preferred.
- A self-starter mentality with a genuine interest in healthcare and M&A advisory.
Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
