Position Purpose
The role will encompass all aspects of the management and operations of investment funds and underlying acquisition structures in compliance with U.S. regulatory standards. This includes conducting rigorous financial analysis and modeling, covering cash flows, forecasting, and NAV analysis. The position will also be responsible for client reporting, ensuring adherence to U.S. regulatory requirements, including the preparation of annual accounts, quarterly reports, and compliance with ISAE 3402 standards.
Additionally, the role will involve managing and supervising third-party suppliers for the funds, such as auditors, legal advisors, and custodians. Active participation in the fundraising process will be crucial, including preparing for closings to accept commitments. The incumbent will also play a vital role in the audit process, ensuring compliance with U.S. audit standards and practices. The individual will be expected to stay abreast of any changes or updates in U.S. financial regulations that may impact fund management and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review the Fund’s quarterly NAVs, investor statements, and annual financial statements
- Prepare quarterly investor reports
- Prepare materials for quarterly board meetings for the Fund Board
- Perform fund forecasting, budgeting, and ad hoc analysis as required
- Manage third-party suppliers of fund services (e.g., tax advisors, accountants, legal, administrators)
- Assist in due diligence on acquisition targets, specifically legal/tax structuring and post-acquisition implementation
- Coordinate advice from third-party advisors and assess key risks and issues
- Assist with fundraising, including preparing client RFPs, responding to due diligence requests, and supporting negotiations with investors and legal advisors
- Support general team activities and development of North American funds
- Communicate effectively with the broader global infrastructure investment team
- Assist with ongoing management and operations of acquisition structures
- Ensure adherence to investment philosophy, fund procedures, and policies
- Perform any other reasonable tasks as required
Required Capabilities
- CPA qualification with 2–5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in infrastructure, private equity, or other alternative investment asset classes
- Ability to work both independently and within a team, exercising sound judgment
- Strong ability to work under pressure and reprioritize tasks
- Strong financial analysis, modeling, and report writing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
