What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Bartender position at Cocopah Indian Tribe?
SUMMARY
The Lead Bartender is responsible for the Bar Dept. The lead will be in charge of employees while on shift. Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to Casino patrons of the bar by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Takes orders from customers for alcohol and food.
· Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
· Serves wine and draught or bottled beer.
· Collects money for drinks and food served.
· Submits orders or requisitions for liquors and supplies to the appropriate vendors.
· Arrange bottles and glasses to make an attractive display.
· Takes care of customer and employee complaints.
· Will be responsible and have access to the liquor supply room.
· Responsible for assigning breaks to bar and cocktail employees.
· Forwards all complaints, order sheets, break sheets, and time off requests to Food & Beverage Director
· Lead will place and receive liquor orders as needed.
· Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks.
· Will be responsible for all inventory, including imputing invoices and counting on the last day of each month.
· Responsible for writing all schedules and getting approval from the F & B Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Must have a High School/ GED diploma
· Must have 2 years of experience as a Bartender.
· Must have 1 year of management experience.
· Thorough understanding of the Compact between the Cocopah Indian Tribe and the State of Arizona.
· Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
· Must be 21 years of age.
· Must be certifiable by the Cocopah Tribal Gaming Office and the Arizona Department of Gaming.
· Must have liquor law training within 6 months of hire date.
· Must have a food handler’s card.
· Must Be COVID-19 Vaccinated or willing to obtain upon hire.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· 1-year equivalent to at least CS-4, 6-months specialized work experience, 3 years work experience in a related field, or 1-year supervisory work experience

In the entertainment industry, one may be subject to a work environment containing excessive noise, smoke, and stress.
