Strengthening Indigenous Student Success (SISS) Native American Peer Mentors are responsible for helping their fellow peers, or mentees, develop characteristics and skills that will allow them to transition smoothly into the college environment. Mentors will foster positive, supporting relationships with mentees by offering guidance, support, and encouragement.
The SISS program is now hiring for one position at the Page Campus (Page Center) in Page, AZ, with a start date of May 18, 2026.
Mentors must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a collegial environment. Applicants must be available in the months of June and July to assist with the SISS Native American Summer Bridge program. This is a temporary, part-time (15-19 hours per week), non-benefit eligible position.

- Assists mentees in developing characteristics and skills to allow transition into the college environment
- Fosters positive, supporting relationships with mentees by offering guidance, support and encouragement
- Provides one-on-one and group mentoring to assigned mentees
- Keeps consistent documentation of mentee meetings
- Assists mentees in locating and using various resources on and off campus
- Helps mentees feel connected to CCC environment
- Performs other duties of a similar nature and level
