Coconino Community College is seeking an English tutor to support students participating in the Native American Summer Bridge Program at the CCC Page Campus (https://www.coconino.edu/nasc). We encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences that reflect the students we serve.
Tutors play a key role in helping students become independent learners, persist in their academic journeys, and achieve their educational goals. Responsibilities include providing individual and small group tutoring in approved subject areas, assisting students with understanding course concepts, explaining processes, and guiding them through problem-solving strategies. Tutors also collaborate with fellow tutors and the Tutor Coordinator to support ongoing professional development.
This is a part-time position, working 3–19 hours per week for up to 32 weeks per year. The position is non-benefit eligible. This position is located at the PAGE CAMPUS with a start date of May 18, 2026
Preferred
Associate’s degree or higher in a related field. Experience working with a diverse population. Ability to use various computer database applications. Knowledge of college study skills.

- Provides one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions for students in person and online.
- Recognize primary role to help students become more confident, more successful and self-directed learners.
- Informally assesses students learning needs. Assist students in locating and using various resources.
- Participates in mandatory tutor orientation/trainings throughout the academic year.
- Create a professional and welcoming environment by modeling respect for students’ diverse cultures, language skills, and experiences.
- Knowledge of tutoring strategies.
- Skill in interpersonal interactions.
- Knowledge of college study skills.
- Skill in both written and oral communication.
- Ability to be self-motivated and work in a multicultural collegial environment.
