Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our property care team. This role is responsible for performing routine and urgent maintenance tasks across our portfolio of vacation rental homes to ensure each property remains safe, functional, and guest-ready. The ideal candidate will be experienced in general maintenance, responsive to service requests, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing fixes, electrical troubleshooting, drywall repair, painting, and appliance maintenance.
- Diagnose and address urgent maintenance issues during guest stays to ensure a seamless experience.
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance at all assigned properties.
Property Readiness
- Support turnover days by completing same-day maintenance tasks as needed.
- Assist with property condition checks during inspections and after guest departures.
- Ensure all homes are operating safely and efficiently prior to guest arrival.
Vendor & Team Coordination
- Work closely with the housekeeping, inspection, and office teams to address maintenance needs quickly.
- Coordinate with outside vendors for specialty repairs and follow up to ensure completion and quality.
- Provide clear documentation of all work completed using company systems and tools.
Field-Based Support
- Respond to maintenance calls while in the field, including evenings or weekends when required.
- Assist with emergency issues such as leaks, power failures, HVAC problems, or lockouts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in general maintenance, property care, construction, or a related trade.
- Skilled in basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, and general repairs.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual preferred.
- Professional demeanor and a high commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and ability to travel to multiple properties.
- Ability to use or learn maintenance software, apps, and mobile work order systems.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs or more.
- Comfortable working outdoors and indoors in various conditions.
- Saturday availability required; ability to work on-call or after-hours when needed.
- Strong time management skills and reliability in completing daily assignments.
