Special Education Paraprofessional - CLEAR Program

CLEAR Paraprofessional - Elementary Coburn Elementary Description of work: To work closely with student (s) under the direction of a teacher in an effort to facilitate the progress of the student in meeting the goals stated and to provide other instructional and support assistance as required by the teacher. Duties: - Works with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning. - Inform the teacher of any problems or special information about students. - Participate in in-service training programs, as assigned. - Work with students in independent study, skills work, and remedial work assigned by the teacher. - Other related duties may be assigned - Experience working with students with special needs preferred - Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed - Assist in gathering data on students - Discrete trial implementation and data collection - Safety care training which will be provided by WSPS Qualifications: *Associates Degree or 48 college credits attained, or WorkKeys completed *Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed *Experience working with students with autism *Background in ABA *Such alternatives found to be appropriate Salary: Commensurate with the West Springfield Paraprofessional (Unit D) contract (Hourly Pay Range: $18.67/hour - $23.96/hour)
