Under limited supervision, assists the pharmacist by filling physician orders for medications for oral, rectal, topical and injectable use; mixes IV admixture solutions as required using aseptic technique in the Laminar Air Flow hood; types labels, prepares and files charge slips and performs other related duties.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or the equivalent
- Pharmacy Tech Trainee license
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Basic computer knowledge and knowledge of automated pharmacy systems
- Must be motivated
