Title: Assembler - Tuber
Report to: Production Manager
Job Location: Buffalo, NY
Job Summary
The Assembler - Tuber will play a key part in building high‑quality, custom equipment by installing tubing systems, working with a variety of fittings and instrumentation, and supporting fabrication and assembly tasks across the shop.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Install gas panel and piping skid tubing, tubing instruments, valves, and related components
- Read and interpret P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, and bills of material
- Plan tube routing layouts based on drawings
- Precisely bend tubing from ¼” to 1” OD, accounting for proper set‑back dimensions
- Work with industrial compression fittings, including Swagelok and Parker
- Install and work with instrumentation such as transmitters, gauges, actuators, and solenoids
- Fabricate custom tube lines using accurate measurements and layout techniques
- Apply proper level, plumb, and square concepts during tube installation
- Perform light fabrication work (drilling, tapping up to ½”, and cutting stainless brackets/supports)
- Bolt piping systems, including flanged and gasketed connections, following torque requirements
- Operate tow motors, overhead cranes, and jib cranes
- Work independently while following instructions and production schedules
- Follow OSHA and Cobey safety rules and maintain a safe work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Special Requirements
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must provide personal tools
- Welding experience a plus
- Basic pipe fitting experience preferred
Credentials and Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred (required in some cases)
- Minimum 1 year of custom tube bending and fit-up
