Job Summary

Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, and sanitation of all areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment to maintain health standards.
• Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items efficiently.
• Manage manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of furniture, appliances, or supplies safely and effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and specialized floor care techniques to preserve their appearance and longevity.
• Use janitorial equipment properly for tasks like window washing, outdoor work, or specialized cleaning projects.
• Communicate professionally with clients or residents to understand specific needs and provide excellent customer service.
• Organize cleaning schedules and manage time effectively to complete all assigned duties promptly without compromising quality.
• Ensure all surfaces are cleaned thoroughly, including bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and outdoor spaces when applicable.
• Follow safety protocols related to custodial work to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, hotel housekeeping, or janitorial roles is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures including sanitation standards and floor care techniques.
• Familiarity with a variety of cleaning detergents, equipment operation, and maintenance practices.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently over extended periods.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients or residents.
• Outdoor work experience is a plus for roles involving exterior space maintenance.
• Previous experience in housekeeping management or supervising cleaning staff is advantageous but not required.

Pay: $13.50 - $14.00 per hour
