Cobblestone Fruit is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented FP&A Analyst to join its Finance team. This position plays a critical role in supporting the financial operations of the company and its affiliated entities by delivering insightful financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The FP&A Analyst will be responsible for interpreting financial data to guide business decisions, identifying trends, and supporting strategic initiatives across departments. This role requires strong collaboration with operations, and executive leadership to ensure accurate financial planning and performance monitoring. As a key member of the Finance team, the FP&A Analyst will help uphold the integrity of financial reporting, maintain compliance with internal controls, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance the company’s financial health and long-term goals.


Duties/Responsibilities


Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Support the creation of annual budgets for multiple business segments, including farming operations, farm management, and packing, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company objectives, operational goals, and historical performance.
  • Conduct in-depth monthly budget-to-actual variance analysis to identify key drivers of performance, highlight deviations, and recommend actionable insights to support financial accountability and decision-making.
  • Support monthly reforecasting processes and annual budget planning across farming operations, farm management, and packing activities to ensure alignment with business objectives and operational performance.
  • Perform scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling related to yields, pricing, labor, and operational performance to support strategic planning and risk management.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise financial analyses and recommendations to the leadership team for both routine reviews and ad hoc strategic discussions.


Dashboard & Reporting

  • Leverage Famous ERP, Power BI, and financial reporting tools to streamline reporting processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance operational visibility.
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations in Power BI to support business decision-making.
  • Design easy-to-use reporting tools that simplify complex financial and operational data, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions.
  • Maintain and improve financial models and reporting tools to support real-time decision-making and performance tracking.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across business segments and develop actionable insights to support continuous improvement and long-term financial sustainability.


Strategic Analysis & Capital Planning

  • Partner with senior management to evaluate capital investments, land redevelopment opportunities, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Build financial models, ROI analyses, and scenario plans to support informed, data-driven decision-making.
  • Contribute to CAPEX and financial review meetings by presenting clear, actionable analysis and recommendations to leadership.
  • Research market trends, industry benchmarks, and regulatory changes to identify potential impacts on financial performance and strategic direction.


Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Contribute to audit readiness and compliance efforts, including maintaining proper documentation and supporting internal controls.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in financial workflows and reporting practices, leveraging automation and technology to enhance efficiency, reporting accuracy, and data integrity.


Cost Analysis & Production Support

  • Partner closely with operations, farm management, and packing leadership to align financial performance with operational objectives and drive informed decision-making.
  • Support cost accounting and inventory valuation processes, particularly for packing materials, to ensure accurate financial reporting and margin analysis.
  • Collaborate with operations and field teams to analyze harvest costs, labor efficiency, input usage, and production planning assumptions, providing insights to improve cost control and resource utilization.
  • Monitor production variances, yields, throughput, and labor efficiency to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide insights into operational metrics that impact cost and financial performance.


Other Responsibilities

  • Perform additional tasks as needed to support the Accounting and Finance team and contribute to the overall success of Cobblestone Fruit and its affiliated entities.


Qualifications/Requirements


  • Alignment with Cobblestone Fruit’s mission, values, and commitment to integrity, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar financial analysis or accounting role; experience within the agriculture, farming, or produce industry strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, including developing financial models and templates from the ground up.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with solid working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools, including building and maintaining interactive dashboards to support data-driven decision-making, is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to take on a variety of assignments in a dynamic and evolving work environment.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime during peak reporting or budgeting periods in support of evolving business demands.
  • Highly collaborative, team-oriented, and committed to providing excellent internal customer service.


Physical Demands & Abilities


  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time while working on a computer.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling office equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds (e.g., files, reports, or laptop equipment).
  • Visual acuity to read detailed financial reports, spreadsheets, and computer screens.
  • Ability to occasionally walk short distances, including visits to operational areas such as packing facilities or field offices.
  • Ability to work in a standard office environment with occasional exposure to varying temperatures if visiting field or operational sites as needed.

Salary : $70,500 - $85,000
