Cobble Hill Health Center is a not-for-profit long- and short-term care facility providing services to the disabled and elderly for over 40 years. Position Overview:
The Nurse Manager provides excellent care through preventive medicine and the ability to detect a potential decline to avoid crisis. This is done through day-to-day involvement, meaningful and purposeful rounding, and impromptu huddles as necessary, utilizing clinical judgment and critical thinking, while engaging all nurses, CNAs, and other disciplines in the process. In a leadership capacity, the Nurse Manager supervises, evaluates guides, instructs and fosters the growth and development of staff through scheduling, work assignments, unit meetings, audits, in-services and corrective action plans to continue to ensure superior care is provided to our residents.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have proven clinical and managerial experience with driving high-performing nursing teams
- Have prior experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care
- Experience with SigmaCare strongly preferred
- Be a graduate from an approved school of nursing
- Have an active RN license for New York State
- CPR certification
