We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage accounting operations and drive accurate financial reporting and compliance within one of our partner companies. The ideal candidate will ensure GAAP compliance, support payroll for hourly employees, and optimize cash management. This role requires expertise in ERPs, accounting processes, and the ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance colleagues.
***This is an in-office role (Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm), located in the Dallas, TX area***
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the monthly financial close, ensuring GAAP compliance for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and reconcile key balance sheet accounts.
- Support cash flow management, including billing accuracy, cost control, and net working capital oversight.
- Maintain internal controls and compliance, support external audits, and oversee AP/AR processes.
- Assist with budget preparation, variance analysis, and annual reforecasts, including project-level job costing and inventory/WIP management.
- Help implement and optimize accounting tools (QuickBooks, Sage, Inova) to improve financial processes, payroll, and reporting efficiency.
Competencies:
- Accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Strong controls and GAAP compliance knowledge.
- Budgeting, forecasting, and job costing support.
- Operationally minded with problem-solving ability.
Experience:
- 5 years in general ledger accounting.
- Experience with QuickBooks and Sage Intacct; UKG or Inova a plus.
- Knowledge of % of completion accounting, inventory/WIP management, lease accounting, and GAAP entries.
- Proven ability to enhance financial processes, particularly in B2B field services.
- Accounting degree and/or CPA/CMA/CGMA preferred.
