We’re expanding our client success team and are looking for a Client Service Specialist to provide exceptional Tier-1 and second-line support and relationship management to our client portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong problem-solving with technical knowledge and a passion for helping small businesses succeed.
What You’ll Do
- Provide Tier-1 & 2 support to SMB clients via phone, email, and occasional on-site visits
- Resolve complex service inquiries in collaboration with internal teams (sales, deployment, development)
- Ensure client satisfaction by educating users, resolving payment and technical issues, and optimizing account performance
- Deliver clear, proactive communication on topics such as pricing, funding workflows, eCommerce tools, and product usage
- Assist in client retention by deepening the use of Cobalt systems and identifying opportunities for growth or additional services
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in CRM and ticketing systems
- Provide guidance on product features, reporting tools, and onboarding workflows
- Support on-site POS installations, live demos, and issue resolution as needed
What We’re Looking For Minimum Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in customer service, client support, business development, or account management
- Familiarity with payment processing, POS systems, Computer Networking and/or SaaS platforms
- Experience using multiple systems (CRM, ticketing, reporting) to research and resolve customer issues
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Strong communication, follow-through, and analytical skills
- Must be located in Connecticut and comfortable with occasional in-state & out-of-state travel using company vehicles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher
- Experience in payment technology, financial services, or software support
- Understanding of merchant services, POS terminals, eCommerce platforms, or APIs
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
