As a scrap tire recycling and manufacturing business, Cobalt collects and processes about 10,000 tons of scrap tires a year. Licensed to haul in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Wisconsin. As a result we are able to produce a high quality material for various rubber applications.
Full Time Position, home daily, flexible schedule.

Excellent reading, writing, and communication skills.
Experience driving a semi using a 28' to 53' van trailer.
Must be able to backup in tight places without damaging customer property.
Perform pre-trip inspections of a truck and trailer.
Must have a smart phone to run ELD application for electronic logs. Devise is not provided must have your own, currently using the Motive app.
Small tool box with tools along with small amount of mechanical knowledge to fix issues on the road. Issues may include locked brakes, air line leaks, flat tires, etc. Tools are not provided, must provide your own.
Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
After training is complete you will work on piece rate, this is a paid per tire amount with various amounts based on tire size.
Full Job Description
Our team is currently looking for a full time semi driver to keep up our level of commitment to customer service. In this role, the successful candidate will hand load tires into a semi trailer at various customer locations. You must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. and a variety of tires. You must be able to back into tight places with a pup trailer without damaging customer property. This person must be honest and provide the customer with an exact count of tires. Must also know the difference between types of tires, such as passenger, semi, and tractor tires. Also must be trusted with collecting payment from customers in the form of cash or check. Background check and driving record will be ran prior to start date.
While rare, you may also be asked to swap trailers at customer locations, run shred, wire, or landfill to the appropriate locations utilizing a walking floor trailer, make product deliveries, and various other tasks.

This is hard dirty work in all weather types, this job is not for anyone. This person must be reliable as customers are scheduled in advance and are counting on us to be there when we say we will. You must also know how to driver manual trucks, we do not have automatics. Also, one of our trucks is a 13 speed.
