SUMMARY
The Truck Driver is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery and pick-up of products from vendors and Cable Bullet locations during scheduled shifts. By efficiently transporting materials, the driver supports the supply chain while maintaining reliability and adherence to company standards, which are critical priorities for this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver and pick up products from vendors as scheduled, ensuring that all deliveries and pickups are completed on time.
- Maintain a clean driving record and hold a valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with vendors and team members to facilitate smooth operations.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and promptly report any maintenance needs to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption for company documentation and compliance.
- Safely load and unload materials, preventing damage and ensuring that all items are transported securely.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while operating vehicles.
- Report any accidents, delays, or issues encountered during deliveries to the Warehouse Supervisor in a timely manner.
Maintain the vehicle’s cleanliness, organization, and ensure it is appropriately equipped for all deliveries.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Prior experience in delivery or transportation roles is required.
Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and mobile applications to facilitate efficient routing and communication.
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance is necessary for routine inspections and minor repairs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to sit in the driver’s seat for extended periods, including during long drives or while awaiting loading or unloading.
Capable of operating a large flatbed truck safely and efficiently on a regular basis.
Frequent use of hands and fingers for operating steering wheel, gear shift, controls, and managing paperwork or electronic logs.
Regularly required to reach, grip, and handle objects for securing cargo, adjusting straps, and performing safety checks.
Ability to climb in and out of the truck cab and onto the flatbed to assist with loading, securing, and unloading cargo.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally, including tarps, straps, and smaller freight items.
Ability to read and interpret delivery instructions, road signs, manifests, and other relevant paperwork or electronic information.
Ability to communicate clearly with vendors, customers, and other drivers in person, by phone, or via text message.

EQUIPMENT USED

Regular use of basic hand tools and equipment for securing loads, including ratchet straps, chains, tarps, and bungee cords.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS & TRAVEL
Exposure to outdoor environments with varying weather conditions, such as rain, snow, heat, and cold.
Regular travel on highways, city streets, and loading docks, with exposure to road noise and vehicle vibration.
