The Role
As our IT Support Specialist, you will be a direct resource on the ground for Cobalt Extensions clients. You won’t just be fixing servers; you’ll be ensuring that teachers can teach and students can learn without digital interruptions. This role requires a "Swiss Army Knife" technician who is comfortable switching between high-level troubleshooting and hands-on hardware/software support.
Key Responsibilities
- White Glove On-Site & Remote Support: Provide comprehensive hardware and software troubleshooting for students, school staff, and administration.
- Ecosystem Management: Maintain and optimize Google Workspace, school management software, and classroom devices.
- Infrastructure Care: Set up, configure, and maintain workstations, printers, interactive displays, and networking equipment.
- Relationship Management: Act as a primary point of contact for school leadership, delivering technical solutions with a patient, service-oriented mindset.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field OR equivalent industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Network , Google Workspace Administrator).
- Citizenship: Must be Authorized to Work in the U.S.
- Mobility: Must possess a valid Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle for travel between client sites.
- Safety: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check (required for working in educational environments).
- Technical Proficiency: Strong grasp of the Microsoft/Google Suite and general hardware diagnostics and ability to pass technology competency test during interview process
- Project Management: Strong grasp of general project management including due dates, updates, blockers and utilizing project management software
- Physical: Must be able to lift 30 LBs
