Loan Solutions Manager
The Loan Solutions Manager will partner with a team of collectors (Loan Solution Specialists) to ensure effective and timely review and resolution of past due consumer mortgage, collateralized and personal loan accounts, while protecting the credit union’s assets, financial interest and reputation. This position will take a proactive approach to identify effective solutions on past due accounts that benefit both the borrower and the credit union. Train, mentor, and provide support or assistance to the Department. Motivate staff on a daily basis to accomplish goals through productivity, accuracy, and efficiency
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
- Strong knowledge of bankruptcy, probate, replevin, and legal collections preferred
- 5 years collection management required
- 1-2 years of experience working or understanding the processes related to totaled losses and Gap claim filing preferred
- Strong knowledge of lending or underwriting processes preferred
- Extensive delinquency resolution experience required
- Must have working knowledge of mortgage and consumer collection process, repossession, credit reporting laws and requirements
- Must have superior understanding of Collateral Protection Insurance (CPI)
- Ability to work in a time sensitive environment, make sound decisions, and effectively communicate with members as well as credit union staff
- Ability to effectively utilize systems and software programs such as Excel, DNA (core processor), Temenos, and other internal or external systems
