Primary Responsibilities
Oversee Accounts Receivable Department
- Manages client accounts
- Oversees cash receipts, coding and posting of receipts
Administrate Accounts Payable Department
- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
- Manage vendor accounts including establishing new accounts with credit terms
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
Other Accounting Duties
- Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to book of accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions
- Prepare monthly financial reports into excel spread sheet for analysis
- Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures
- Works & provides document to outside accountant and tax service as needed
- Works & provides documentation to bank as needed
- Report to management regarding the finances of establishment
Purchasing Duties
- Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers or purchaser
- Maintains office and technology supplies
Human Resource Duties
- Processes weekly company payroll
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements
- Monthly reporting to US Depart of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics and other agencies as required
- Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits
- Posts job openings, interviews and hires new management level employees
- Enforces company policies and maintains Employee Handbook
- Oversees employee review system
IT Duties
- Troubleshoots technology issues and escalates to outside service as necessary
- Manages employee email addresses and website updates
Qualifications
2 years working as a controller or office manager
Bachelor’s Degree required
Experience working in a small or mid-size manufacturing company is strongly desired
Technology savvy with experience selecting and overseeing software & hardware installations
Problem solving skills a must
Ability to innovate and adjust process systems
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
