The successful candidate will have global responsibilities supervising a variety of special education programs servicing students. Ability to develop special education programs and interventions that meet diverse students’ needs.
Applicant must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, knowledge of assessment and best practices related to student achievement, discipline, and special education. Applicants should have experience teaching diverse learners and be committed to the success of all students. Willingness to engage families, work with the community, and build a positive learning community.
Qualifications:
- PA Supervisor of Special Education certification preferred, principal certification considered.
- Minimum 4 years special education supervisory experience preferred.
- A proven track record of student achievement for students deemed at-risk and/or receiving special education services.
- Strong administrative background that reflects effective leadership, management and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong analytical writing skills.
- Excels in individual and collaborative problem solving.
- Desire to provide only the highest quality education for all students.
- Prior experience developing innovative programs to meet diverse student needs preferred.
- Expert knowledge of IDEIA and Pennsylvania special education regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Desire to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, families, and students.
