Position Summary
The CDL Dump Truck Driver is responsible for safely transporting dirt, sand, gravel, asphalt, demolition debris, and construction materials to and from job sites. This position will also assist field crews when deliveries are complete, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being part of the entire project—not just driving.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tri-axle and tandem axle dump trucks.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Haul aggregates, fill material, equipment, and demolition debris.
- Secure loads and comply with all DOT and company safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate logs and vehicle inspection reports.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials.
- Support excavation and sitework crews as needed.
- Keep trucks clean and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Represent Coastal Waste Solutions professionally with customers and the public.
Qualifications
Required
- Valid North Carolina CDL Class A or Class B.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
Preferred
- Experience operating dump trucks in construction or sitework.
- Experience hauling heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of excavation, grading, and construction job sites.
- Experience operating skid steers, excavators, or loaders is a plus.
