Duties
- Safely operate dump trucks in accordance with federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures.
- Transport construction materials like gravel, dirt, asphalt, and debris to and from job sites efficiently while maintaining proper load securement.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on trucks and related machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Follow all safety regulations diligently during operations to prevent accidents or injuries on site.
- Maintain accurate logs of daily trips, material deliveries, maintenance activities, and safety inspections for record-keeping purposes.Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for dump trucks and heavy machinery operation.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving within construction environments or related fields.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
- Familiarity with construction site operations including excavation, utility locating, grading, paving, and site cleanup.
- Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures is essential.
- Strong understanding of construction utility work processes and site safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively on busy job sites.
