Lead Cultivator
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Cultivator to oversee and manage multiple grow rooms. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in cannabis cultivation with proven leadership skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate complex grow operations efficiently. This role requires flexibility to work weekends as part of maintaining continuous cultivation cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of multiple indoor grow rooms, ensuring optimal plant health and maximizing yield quality.
- Develop, implement, and oversee cultivation schedules, nutrient programs, pest management, and environmental controls.
- Oversee and manage cultivation associates, providing training, guidance, and performance management to maintain high standards of care and safety.
- Monitor and adjust lighting, humidity, temperature, and CO₂ levels to optimize growth cycles.
- Ensure all cultivation activities comply with Maine state cannabis regulations and company SOPs.
- Maintain accurate records related to plant tracking, inventory, and quality control.
- Collaborate with extraction, processing, and quality assurance teams to meet production goals.
- Identify and troubleshoot cultivation issues proactively to minimize crop loss.
- Work flexible hours including weekends to ensure continuous monitoring and care of crops.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of professional cannabis cultivation experience, including managing more than one grow room simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of cannabis genetics, plant nutrition, pest and disease management, and integrated pest management (IPM).
- Experience with environmental control systems (lighting, HVAC, CO₂ enrichment).
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Familiarity with Maine cannabis regulations and compliance standards is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Willingness and ability to work weekends and flexible hours as needed.
