Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Administrative Assistant to join our orthopedic practice.This role is primarily focused on administrative and computer-based tasks that support patient care and office efficiency. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, proactive, and fluent in both English and Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain accurate patient charts in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Upload, scan, and organize medical documents into patient records
- Process and track patient authorizations and referrals
- Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets and internal tracking systems
- Manage email communications in a timely and professional manner
- Schedule new patient appointments and coordinate intake processes
- Review and summarize medical records using AI-assisted tools
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient documentation
- Assist with front office duties, including patient check-out, as needed
- Perform other administrative and computer-based tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems (preferred)
- Microsoft Excel and general office software
- Ability to learn new technology and workflows quickly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous medical office experience preferred but not required
Work Environment
- Fast-paced orthopedic medical office
- Primarily desk/computer-based work
- Occasional patient interaction at front desk
