We are looking for a Professional Engineer to support preconstruction and project development efforts across residential and commercial work. This role is heavily involved in technical review, constructability, coordination, and ensuring engineering accuracy from early design through construction planning. This position will also be responsible for reviewing and stamping applicable drawings, details, and engineering documents as needed for permitting and construction.

The right person is detail-oriented, technically strong, and comfortable working with architects, estimators, project managers, and field teams to help turn design intent into buildable solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Review drawings, specifications, and engineering documents for accuracy, constructability, and code compliance
  • Provide engineering review and professional oversight on applicable drawings and documents, including stamping when required for permitting or construction
  • Work through design details with architects, consultants, and internal teams to ensure projects are buildable and aligned with scope
  • Identify risks early including scope gaps, coordination issues, and potential cost or schedule impacts
  • Support preconstruction efforts with engineering input during early project planning and design development
  • Participate in design and coordination meetings with project teams, consultants, and clients when needed
  • Assist with structural, civil, architectural, and systems coordination depending on project scope
  • Support value engineering discussions while maintaining quality, performance, and design intent
  • Review shop drawings, submittals, and technical documents for consistency with project requirements
  • Coordinate with municipalities, permitting authorities, and outside engineers as needed
  • Use tools such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Revit
  • Maintain organized engineering records, calculations, revisions, and documentation throughout projects
  • Support bid reviews and technical coordination during preconstruction

What We’re Looking For

  • Active Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Experience in residential, commercial, or design-build construction preferred
  • Strong understanding of building systems, codes, and constructability
  • Experience reviewing drawings, calculations, and technical documents
  • Proficiency with ACC, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across design and construction teams
