Key Responsibilities
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing orders for processing
- Read and interpret customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and/or shipped
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment to ensure accessibility for employees and customers
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures; perform all tasks in a safe and compliant manner
- Assemble products as needed and participate in cycle counts and physical inventory processes
- Take check calls from drivers to confirm delivery status; verify and validate load data prior to marking loads as delivered for accounting accuracy
- Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries to ensure shipments arrive on time and in good condition
- Assist with other tasks and duties as needed to support the team.
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends based on business needs
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions and apply critical thinking
- Previous dock or warehouse experience within the transportation or logistics industry
- Experience loading and unloading trailers
- Experience using handheld scanners or warehouse management systems
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods
- Conditions: The role involves working in a warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels, requiring physical stamina.
- Hours: Must be available to work flexible hours, including potential overtime and weekends.
- Days: Monday through Saturday
- Hours: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
