What are the responsibilities and job description for the FTZ Administrator position at Coastal Logistics Group, Inc.?
Job Summary:
The FTZ Administrator oversees all aspects of FTZ compliance and operations within our designated zones and ensures adherence to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations while optimizing inventory control and compliance systems. This role is critical in supporting the efficient and secure movement of goods within our supply chain network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the FTZ program to ensure compliance with CBP regulations and company policies
- Serve as the primary point of contact with CBP and other government agencies for FTZ-related matters
- Maintain and submit required documentation and reports to federal agencies, including the Annual Reconciliation Report and Weekly Entry Filings
- Manage FTZ software and inventory systems to track merchandise movement accurately
- Coordinate with warehouse, transportation, and customer service teams to ensure proper FTZ procedures are followed
- Monitor and reconcile inventory, investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
- Train internal staff and partners on FTZ policies, procedures, and compliance expectations
- Stay current on changes to FTZ laws, trade agreements, and industry regulations
- Support audits and internal reviews related to FTZ operations
- Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience working with Foreign Trade Zones, customs compliance, or international trade
- Strong understanding of CBP regulations, FTZ Board requirements, and trade compliance best practices
- Experience with FTZ software (such as Integration Point, QAD Precision, or similar)
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- U.S. Customs Broker license a plus, but not required
Work Schedule:
- Days: Monday through Friday
- Hours: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
