Position Summary

Coastal Landing is seeking a friendly, dependable, and service-oriented Waitstaff member to join our dining team. The Waitstaff member is responsible for providing excellent dining service to our residents and guests while creating a welcoming, enjoyable, and respectful dining experience.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, takes pride in providing exceptional customer service, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced dining environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Greet residents and guests warmly and provide courteous, attentive service.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen.
• Serve meals and beverages promptly and professionally.
• Answer questions about menu items and assist residents with selections when needed.
• Ensure tables are clean, properly set, and ready for service.
• Check on residents throughout the meal to ensure their needs are met.
• Clear and reset tables efficiently throughout the dining period.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room and service areas.
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.
• Communicate resident requests, concerns, dietary needs, or other important information to the appropriate team members.
• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Work cooperatively with kitchen and dining room staff to provide smooth and efficient service.

Qualifications

• Previous waitstaff, restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred, but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to remain organized and attentive in a busy dining environment.
• Must be dependable and punctual.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely carry food, beverages, dishes, and trays.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
