Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and sales
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in sales transactions processing
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations, including food handling and food preparation protocols
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting stations, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably with fine dining experience
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts and multitask efficiently
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and handling cash transactions
- Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with serving guests in a fast-paced environment; host/hostess or bussing experience is advantageous
