Location: Los Alamos, NM | TA-55 PF4 (Plutonium Facility) | Combination of onsite remote flexibility

- Strong Radiation Protection (RP) background in DOE or nuclear environments
- Proven experience supporting construction activities in CAT II nuclear facilities
- Ability to operate as a technical authority and SME in radiological controls
- Experience working with high-hazard systems, gloveboxes, or plutonium facilities - highly preferred
- Background in Navy Nuclear, DOE, or NNSA environments
- Provide expert-level guidance on Radiation Protection and radiological safety during construction and operations
- Support design, construction, startup, and maintenance activities for complex nuclear systems
- Interface with project teams, work control, and construction leadership to ensure safe execution
- Conduct independent technical reviews and assessments of radiological work and controls
- Drive compliance with DOE standards, conduct of operations, and safety requirements
- Lead coordination across multidisciplinary teams and ensure alignment with project deliverables
- Provide technical recommendations and problem-solving for high-risk activities
Required
- S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related field - or equivalent experience
- 8 years of relevant experience including 5 years specifically in Radiation Protection
- Experience supporting DOE CAT II nuclear facility operations or construction
- Demonstrated experience in radiological work planning and execution
- Experience supporting construction in nuclear or high-hazard environments
- Ability to interface with multiple stakeholders in regulated environments
- Experience in plutonium facilities - TA-55 / PF4
- S. Navy Nuclear background
- Strong Conduct of Operations knowledge
- Experience with work control, hazard analysis, and radiological planning
- Proven leadership in complex, high-risk project environments
- Organization and execution in fast-paced, high-risk environments
- Strong written and verbal communication across technical and leadership teams
- Time management and task tracking with ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to anticipate issues and drive solutions proactively
