Key Responsibilities
- Scan hardcopy documents into electronic filing systems with accuracy and attention to detail
- Shred hardcopy documents following proper records management and security protocols
- Maintain and organize electronic and hardcopy files
- Track and convey messages and generate internal and external correspondence as needed
- Coordinate calendars, schedules, meeting logistics, and travel arrangements as assigned
- Order office supplies and maintain inventory
- Serve as a resource for staff regarding established administrative policies and procedures
- Support general office operations and other administrative tasks as directed
- Citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent - entry level candidates welcome
- Little or no previous administrative experience required - on the job training provided
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle repetitive tasks accurately
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in a federal office environment
- Prior office, clerical, or administrative experience a plus
- Experience with document scanning equipment or electronic filing systems
- Familiarity with records management or document control practices
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to work 100% onsite in Los Alamos, NM
- Must be able to commit to a full-time schedule for the duration of the temporary assignment (up to 6 months)
- Must be comfortable with repetitive document scanning and shredding tasks as the primary daily function
