Medical Assistant – Spine & Pain
Coastal Health Spine & Pain is looking for a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with patients, works well in a fast-paced clinical environment, and is committed to providing excellent patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Room patients and obtain vital signs and medical histories
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Assist providers with clinical procedures
- Administer medications and injections as directed
- Perform EKGs and other basic clinical duties as needed
- Collect and prepare specimens
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record
- Assist with patient calls, messages, and follow-up
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked exam rooms
- Follow all HIPAA, safety, and infection-control guidelines
- Provide friendly and professional patient service
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment
- Professional, dependable, and patient-focused
- Experience in a specialty or pain management setting is a plus
