Bilingual Front Desk / Patient Services Representative
Coastal Health is seeking a friendly, dependable, and bilingual Front Desk/Patient Services Representative to join our Primary Care team. The ideal candidate is compassionate, professional, organized, and enjoys helping patients while working in a fast-paced medical office environment.
Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Check patients in and out for appointments
- Verify patient demographics and insurance information
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions
- Communicate with patients in both English and Spanish
- Collect copays, balances, and other applicable payments
- Obtain and update patient information
- Assist with referrals, medical records, and other administrative duties
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families
- Protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA guidelines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area
- Work closely with clinical staff and providers to ensure smooth daily operations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Previous medical office or front desk experience preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Professional and positive attitude
- Dependable and able to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Experience with electronic medical records and insurance verification is a plus
