Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our medical practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the efficient operation of the front office. This role requires professionalism, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.
- Check patients in and out, verify demographic and insurance information, and obtain necessary forms.
- Collect copayments, balances, and process payments accurately.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Scan, file, and maintain patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Process referrals, prior authorizations, and medical records requests as needed.
- Respond to patient concerns and resolve issues professionally or escalate when appropriate.
- Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year of medical office or healthcare customer service experience preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical scheduling software.
- E clinical works EMR experience required. This will be tested during interview
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.

Work Schedule: Full-time (Monday–Friday) 9-4 vs part time available
