Primary Purpose
The Inventory Associate in Fulfillment is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring products are properly stocked, organized, and readily available for order fulfillment. This role supports the smooth operation of the fulfillment process by tracking inventory movements, addressing discrepancies, and collaborating with other departments to ensure timely and accurate order processing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Pull, validate, prepare, and audit orders for curbside pick-up, in-store pick-up, and shipping to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Maintain frequent communication with the store management team regarding inventory discrepancies related to DCom operations, ensuring resolution in a timely manner.
- Deliver consistent, high-quality customer service to provide a positive shopping experience for all customers.
- Manage all in-store price changes, including printing ad and special event signs, and conducting audits to ensure accurate pricing.
- Monitor and manage the store’s ‘negative on hand’ inventory, collaborating with store management to resolve discrepancies in inventory counts.
- Oversee and maintain the department’s ‘outs’ list, ensuring stock levels are accurate and updated.
- Utilize the POS system to process phone orders, in-store orders, and returns, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Help in other departments when needed.
- Perform daily cleaning – such as, but not limited to, vacuuming, replacing full trashes with new trash bags, and sweeping the department floor.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of operating touch screen devices and Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments and to shift priorities accordingly.
- Familiar with how to operate a computer system and email.
- Familiar with standard retail concepts and practices.
