CDL Driver Class A

Role Overview

The position involves operating heavy and light-duty trucks, including vacuum trucks and roll-offs, to support hazardous waste cleanup and environmental response operations. The Driver will perform both driving and non-driving tasks on and off customer sites, ensuring safe and compliant handling of materials and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in emergency response, cleanup, and remediation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
• Conduct soil excavation, waste removal, tank cleaning, and site decontamination.
• Operate and maintain environmental response equipment and vehicles, including vacuum trucks and pressure washers.
• Prepare work areas, set up containment zones, and follow safety protocols.
• Complete documentation such as job hazard analyses, safety meetings, and field reports.
• Transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with DOT and EPA regulations.
• Perform vehicle inspections, secure cargo, and maintain accurate logs and manifests.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients, ensuring safety and operational standards.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid CDL Class A license with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred.
• 1-2 years of CDL driving experience; environmental or industrial background preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT, EPA, OSHA standards, and safety procedures.
• Mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and proficiency with digital tools.
  
  

Physical & Work Environment

• Ability to lift 50 lbs., work in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, and participate in emergency rotations.
• Field-based setting with exposure to chemicals, noise, and rugged terrain.
