Therapist/Expressive Arts Therapist

Coastal Counseling Associates is a small business counseling practice located in Medway. We treat children, teens, and adults. We believe that combining expressive arts into traditional talk therapy is the missing key for the path to healing. We incorporate the arts into patients' treatment plan to create a holistic blend of care using art and traditional talk therapy, one of the first of its kind in Massachusetts ◡̈

Although we are newer, we are already filling up a waitlist and need a clinician to take on those referrals. It is owned by me (a registered dance therapist and LMHC) so I value the expressive arts. We are a small team of 5 and are close-knit.

Duties

-Please note this is a PART-TIME position

- Provide in person therapy to children, teens, and adults on Tuesdays (and group therapy if interested)

-Must be comfortable and have clinical experience providing therapy to young children ages 4-12 as that is majority of our waitlist right now

- Document case notes within 24 hours of session using our electronic EHR system

- Be present, punctual and professional

-Hold your own liability/malpractice insurance

-Have an open communication line with me

- Incorporate your expressive arts background into traditional talk therapy!

-Maintain professional licensure in the state of Massachusetts

-Other duties may be assigned

Experience

- Strongly prefer to be independently licensed or license eligible in the state of MA as an LMHC, LICSW, LMFT or similar.

-If not licensed, must have outside supervisor.

-Must hold a masters degree in expressive therapies and be accredited in that speciality (art, dance, expressive arts, drama, music, etc)

-Position is perfect for someone who wants to supplement their current work
