OTR Driver Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking an onsite, full-time, dynamic, and organized OTR (Over-the-Road) Driver Manager to lead and coordinate our long-haul trucking operations. In this vital role, you will oversee driver schedules, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and optimize fleet performance. Your leadership will drive efficiency, enhance communication across teams, and uphold our commitment to exceptional service delivery.

Duties

• Manage and monitor the daily activities of OTR drivers, including dispatching and route planning using transportation management systems.
• Coordinate vehicle dispatching through fleet management and vehicle dispatch software to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain clear communication with drivers via multi-line phone systems, ensuring they receive route updates, safety instructions, and support as needed.
• Oversee compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards across all operations.
• Track shipments and update logistics data entry records accurately within transportation management systems.
• Foster internal communication by coordinating with customer service teams, shipping & receiving departments, and other stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience in road transportation operations, logistics, or fleet management with strong analysis skills.
• Proficiency in transportation management systems.
• Familiarity with vehicle dispatch software to enhance route efficiency.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong communication skills including phone call management, phone etiquette, and internal communication channels.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and shipping & receiving procedures to ensure compliance and safety.
• Ability to perform data entry accurately while handling freight documentation efficiently.
• Customer service orientation with a focus on problem-solving and proactive communication.

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
