Certified Medical Assistant (CMA):
Clinical Duties:
- Prepare patients for examination, including recording medical history and vital signs.
- Administer medications and vaccinations under the supervision of a provider.
- Maintain examination rooms by cleaning and stocking supplies.
- Provide patient education and instructions as directed by the provider.
- Must be able perform accurate, high-volume blood draws in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Administrative Duties:
- Respond to patient inquiries.
- Update and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Assist with prior authorizations, referrals, and other paperwork as needed.
- Coordinate patient flow to ensure timely visits.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current CMA certification (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, or equivalent).
- Proficiency with computers. Experience with EPIC helpful.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and patient service skills.
