We are seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced cardiology practice. This is a FULL-TIME position, with benefits.

Responsibilities:
- Rooming, EKGs and intake
- Handle high-volume inboxes, including faxes, prescriptions, taking messages and returning patient calls and portal messages
- Transcribe voicemails and route messages in EHR accordingly
- Supporting colleagues with daily tasks, covering team members for time out, breaks and lunches by rooming, charting, and performing EKGs if needed
- Other tasks as scheduled by team leads or assigned by administration.
Work primarily at one office (San Luis Obispo) but may need to provide coverage at other locations (Arroyo Grande and Templeton), as needed.
Requirements:
- Must have completed a Medical Assisting program
- Strong data entry skills
- Experience with Cerner Ambulatory EHR is a plus
- Must pass a background check and drug screening upon conditional offer
