Full-Time Floor Technician

Location: Burlington, VT

Position: Floor Technician

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 PM–1:30 AM

Pay Rate: $20.00–$22.00 per hour

Overtime: Optional weekend overtime available for project work

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Floor Technician to join our team in Burlington, VT. The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial floor care and take pride in delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial floor care and maintenance.
• Strip and wax hard-surface floors.
• Clean, maintain, and restore various types of flooring.
• Perform carpet cleaning using appropriate equipment and cleaning methods.
• Operate floor machines, buffers, extractors, and other cleaning equipment safely.
• Complete floor-care projects according to established standards and schedules.
• Inspect floors and identify areas requiring additional cleaning or treatment.
• Properly use and maintain floor-care equipment and supplies.
• Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer instructions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other related cleaning and floor-care duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial floor-care experience preferred.
• Experience with stripping and waxing and carpet cleaning strongly preferred.
• Ability to operate floor-care equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Ability to perform physical duties, including standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment.
• Professional attitude and dependable work ethic.

Monday–Friday: 5:00 PM–1:30 AM

Pay: $20.00–$22.00 per hour

Weekend Overtime: Opportunity for overtime doing weekend project work
