Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate Clover POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for retail sales transactions and cash register operations
- Assist customers with product demos and upselling to promote store offerings effectively
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the store remains clean, tidy, and well-merchandised
- Handle cash drawer management, cash handling, and basic math calculations accurately during transactions
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of store products to answer customer inquiries confidently
- Support inventory management by stocking new merchandise and conducting regular stock checks
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or scheduling appointments
Qualifications
- Prior retail sales experience deli/grocery store experience, Seafood Market preferred but not required; enthusiasm is key!
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in english.
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, retail math, and cash drawer handling is highly desirable
- Proven ability to supervise or lead team members in a retail environment is an advantage
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product demos enhances your ability to succeed in this role
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift merchandise as needed, and perform basic math calculations accurately
