Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload shipments using various materials handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and cranes
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately using RF scanners and manual methods to ensure correct shipping and receiving
- Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks following OSHA safety protocols
- Manage inventory levels by organizing stock in designated warehouse areas and conducting regular cycle counts
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming goods against purchase orders and packing lists
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety standards for manual handling and heavy lifting
- Support warehouse operations by loading and unloading trucks efficiently while ensuring proper load securing techniques
Skills
- Extensive experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, and shipping & receiving procedures
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, cranes, and load & unload machinery
- Strong understanding of inventory management systems and materials handling best practices
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while lifting heavy items regularly
- Familiarity with RF scanners for accurate order picking and inventory updates
- Basic math skills for measurements, counting, and verifying quantities accurately
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment operation
- Experience in warehouse supervisor roles or leadership positions is a plus but not required
