This position plays a vital role in supporting daily warehouse operations by receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, and equipment. This position ensures materials are organized, accessible, and accounted for while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment in compliance with OSHA and Coast Electric standards.
Job Responsibilities
Work performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Frequent exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vibration, and moving equipment. Occasional travel between warehouse locations. Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, and perform repetitive motions. Manual dexterity sufficient to handle tools and small components. Ability to maintain visual attention to detail at both close and distance range.

During times of natural disasters, pandemics, or other unique situations, Coast Electric is designated as an essential business and/or emergency responder. Job Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and invoices
- Accurately enter materials into inventory systems and maintain perpetual inventory records
- Store, organize, and stock materials for easy accessibility
- Pull and distribute materials based on work orders and job requirements
- Load and unload materials, including transformers and poles, using forklift
- Track and restock returned materials and maintenance supplies
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety standards
- Operate forklifts and maintain required log
- Transport materials between district warehouses as needed
- Assist with tracking and managing tools, safety equipment, and repairs
- Support operations for CoastConnect, LLC (fiber subsidiary) by managing fiber materials
- Assist with warehouse operations in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to acquire a Mississippi Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Ability to operate computer and warehouse related systems
- Ability to obtain forklift certification
- Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, manuals, and purchase documents
- Basic math skills (including ratios, percentages, and measurements)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to learn RUS construction specifications and NESC standards
