About Us
Coast Auto Store is a locally owned used car dealership with two locations in Pinellas County. We're a small team, which means no corporate red tape, no fighting ten other techs for work, and you know the owner by name. We need a skilled technician who takes pride in their work and wants a steady, long term home.
What You'll Do
- Inspect and recondition used vehicles before they hit the lot (brakes, suspension, fluids, tires, electrical, A/C, and more)
- Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, drivability, and electrical problems using scan tools and diagnostic equipment
- Handle repairs on customer vehicles, including warranty and service contract work
- Perform safety inspections and write clear, accurate repair orders and estimates
- Recommend whether a vehicle is worth repairing and give honest time and parts estimates
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe
What We're Looking For
- 3 years of hands on automotive repair experience
- Strong diagnostic skills, especially electrical and drivability
- ASE certifications preferred
- Experience with domestic and import makes and models from the last 5 to 15 years
- Your own basic hand tools
- Valid Florida driver's license and a clean enough record to test drive vehicles
- Reliable, honest, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
