What are the responsibilities and job description for the A-Level Automotive Technician | Great Technicians | Great Culture | No Weekends. position at The Burg Automotive?
Do Your Best Work With a Team That Cares About Doing Things Right.
The Burg Automotive is a growing independent repair shop in St. Petersburg, Florida, built around a simple idea: Take great care of our customers, take great care of our people, and never stop getting better.
We opened in early 2019 and have grown from just a two-employee operation to a seven-employee team. We already have plans in place to double our working bays through an expansion. We focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience, reflected in our 4.9-star Google rating. We do that through no-pressure selling, Digital Vehicle Inspections, out-the-door pricing, a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty, and most importantly, a great team that truly cares about our customers and our community.
We're looking for an experienced A-Level Automotive Technician who takes pride in their work, owns their results, and wants to be surrounded by other people who do the same.
We're not just filling a position - we're building a team of A-Players.
This is someone who wants to build a long-term career with a company where quality, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement matter.
What Makes Someone Successful at The Burg?
Our Core Values aren't words hanging on a wall. They're how we expect our team to operate every day.
Personal Responsibility: You own your work - the wins and the mistakes. No excuses. No finger-pointing. When something goes wrong, you help make it right.
Professional Execution: You take pride in producing quality work, documenting vehicles properly, communicating clearly, and returning vehicles to customers knowing the job was done right.
Ideal Team Player: You're talented without the ego. You communicate with advisors, help other technicians, accept help yourself, and understand that the entire shop wins or loses together.
Do the Right Thing: You make recommendations based on what the vehicle and customer actually needs. Customer trust is more important than another flagged hour.
Never Peak: You're willing to learn new systems, receive feedback, improve your processes, and become a better technician than you were yesterday.
If that sounds like the kind of shop you've been looking for, we'd like to meet you.
