Job Overview
This is a full-time, on-site Retention Specialist role located in Troy, MI. As a Retention Specialist at Coast 2 Coast Lenders, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and strengthening relationships with our existing client base. Your focus will be on re-engaging past clients, identifying new opportunities within your pipeline, and ensuring clients continue to see value in working with our team. This role is ideal for someone who is relationship-driven, confident on the phone, and motivated by performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate loan files that did not proceed to closing to identify missed opportunities
- Reach out to prospective clients to gain insight into why they chose not to move forward
- Address concerns, navigate objections, and present solutions to re-engage clients
- Collaborate with Loan Officers and internal teams to structure viable loan options
- Keep detailed and organized records of all interactions and follow-ups within the CRM
- Recognize patterns in client feedback and share insights to enhance processes and improve conversions

Qualifications
- Active NMLS license preferred (not required but a strong plus)
- 1–3 years of experience in mortgage, loan origination, or a related sales role
- Proven ability to handle objections and re-engage hesitant clients
- Strong phone presence with confidence in outbound calling
- Experience working with CRM systems and managing follow-ups
- Ability to analyze client situations and identify workable solutions
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
