Position: You will serve as the Production Supervisor responsible for oversight and management of the final stages of the weapon preparation team at MCAAP. This on-site leadership role monitors daily operations for warhead installation/verification, propellant fueling, final assembly, built-in test (BIT), quality assurance, and preparation for shipment. You will ensure schedule adherence, regulatory compliance, and high standards of safety/quality while providing documentation, reporting, and overall team leadership in a sensitive ammunition/ordnance environment.
Responsibilities:
• Day-to-day oversight of all aspects of final weapon preparation, assembly, testing and shipping.
•Follow programmatic schedules, monitor resources to ensure cost, timeline, and technical performance align with company and customer requirements.
•Participate in programmatic reviews and implementing/improving various process improvements as the program matures.
•Oversee compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including routine audits, inspections, and adherence to company and customer specifications.
• Facilitate regular stakeholder communications to track program milestones and resolve challenges.
• Support and provide the necessary documentation to fulfill procedures involving supply chain management, contracting, and performance metrics on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications:
- 8 years of production supervision experience in defense, ammunition, munitions, or explosives manufacturing environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent military/DoD experience).
- Strong skills in production scheduling, metrics tracking, and reporting (e.g. Excel, ERP/MRP systems).
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance (or the ability to obtain a clearance).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills in production and/or government-regulated environments.
Desired Skills:
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent military/DoD experience).
- Experience in leading and/or overseeing teams handling ordnance, warheads, propellants, or final weapon assembly.
